Save the date for Shabbaton 2010! But what is Shabatton? It's a fun-filled weekend with a huge range of social activities, which stimulate interactivity, entertain and educate. Please scroll down this page to read the draft schedule for Shabbaton 2009. Shabbaton 2010, will be along the lines of this schedule.

Our next Shabbaton will take place in Wonder Valley on April 16-18, 2010 and will feature Rabbi Richard Address (click here to view his Bio) as our guest for the weekend. Rabbi Address is the director of the URJ's Department of Jewish Family Concerns.

He has led the sacred aging project and is an authority on the changing dynamics of the Jewish "family". His focus has been on creating caring communities within congregations, and his topic for the weekend will be "Seeking Meaning in a New Jewish Reality".

This is Rabbi Address' second visit to Fresno. He was enthusiastically received for his prior one-evening talk, and there were numerous requests to have him return. We have finally succeeded in arranging for a whole weekend with this gifted and personable scholar.
