Our Program at a Glance

  • Temple Beth Israel Religious School takes place one day a week in person at 6622 N. Maroa Ave: 
    • Sunday morning from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm beginning with All School and Family Tefillah at 9:30 am in the sanctuary.
    • Midweek private, virtual Hebrew tutoring sessions.
    • Midweek group Hebrew learning sessions

Flexible, Inclusive, Enriching

  • Through our inclusive curriculum, we support neurodiversity and learning differences. 

  • We use curriculum from Moving Traditions and utilize the #OnwardHebrew approach for Hebrew instruction in grades K-5. 

Registration Information

TBI offers many opportunities for families and children to learn and build community together. Religious School, family Shabbat services, youth groups, shlach manot delivery and family holiday celebrations are just some of the examples.

Early bird registration begins May 1, 2025. Save $50 if you register by August 1st.

Curriculum Overviews

Kindergarten/1st Grade: Chaggim (Holidays), Values (Middot) and Torah Stories (Units alternate by year)

Second/Third Grade: Israel (Alternate years are  Stories from our Tradition)

Fourth/Fifth Grade: Middot and Mitzvot (Alternate years are Lessons from the Prophets)

Sixth Grade: Tefillah (Prayer)

Seventh/Eight Grade: Holocaust / Israel Studies (Alternate years are Jews Around the World)
